Organisation Description:

The Marine Institute is the national agency responsible for marine research, technology, development and innovation (RTDI). The Marine Institute seeks to assess and realise the economic potential of Ireland’s 220-million-acre marine resource; promote the sustainable development of marine industry through strategic funding programmes and scientific services; and safeguard the marine environment through research and environmental monitoring. The Institute works in conjunction with the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine (DAFM) and a network of other Government Departments, semi-state agencies, national and international marine partners.

Summary of the Role:

This role is initially based in the Office of the Chief Executive Officer (OCEO) and provides support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and team in the Office as they lead the organisation in delivery of the Marine Institute Strategy Ocean Knowledge that Informs and Inspires. The Administrative Assistant (AA) will work with the OCEO, supporting the coordination of internal communications, managing documentation, supporting the CEO and Senior leadership team in maintaining effective employee engagement throughout the strategic adjustment and development periods, and supporting the CEO and Senior Leadership Team in preparing for the 2028 Marine Institute Strategic Plan.
