Dulra na Mara

The R.V. Dulra na Mara is a versatile 12-meter inshore vessel which operate on a 12 hour basis. It is designed for a wide range of scientific operations, including oceanographic sampling; beam trawling; benthic monitoring; ornithology and marine mammal observing; drop camera and mini ROV deployments.

Equipped with a real-time winch and a 1.5 Ton A-frame allows for efficient deployment and retrieval of equipment.

The vessel is primarily be based out of Galway docks but can work out of other west and southwest locations.

The SBEP pilot call for access to Research Infrastructures enables applicants from the pan-European blue economy community to submit a proposal for utilising the Research Infrastructures made available by the Partnership partners as providers.

Horizon Europe: Restore our Ocean and Waters

There are current open calls under the European Commission Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters” for Associated Regions that represent ecosystems (e.g. neighbouring regions and/or regions in a different sea or river basin) and/or less-developed regions that can benefit from the demonstration activities, with the view to build capacity to implement the innovative solutions to restore marine and freshwater ecosystems.
