Sea Surface Height
Interactive maps of Sea Surface Height (SSH) in the Irish EEZ derived from the Copernicus Marine Service, as processed by the DUACS multimission altimeter data processing system (https://doi.org/10.48670/moi-00142). It consists of altimeter satellite gridded Sea Level Anomalies (SLA) computed with respect to a twenty-year [1993, 2012] mean. The application provides daily maps of Absolute Dynamic Topography (ADT) for the previous two weeks, allowing users to explore changes in sea surface height through an interactive time slider. The data are updated automatically and provide a valuable tool for visualising mesoscale oceanographic features such as fronts and eddies.
